Ally Sentnor Scores Winner as USWNT Beats Colombia 2-0

Ally Sentnor netted the winner for the US Women’s National Team (USWNT) in their opening SheBelieves Cup match against Colombia, securing a 2-0 victory.

Catarina Macario opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with a fine team goal, before Sentnor doubled the lead with her stunning long-range strike in the second half. The 21-year-old was overjoyed to score her first international goal and celebrated with her teammates.

The win extended the USWNT’s unbeaten streak to 21 matches, marking their ninth consecutive SheBelieves Cup title. Macario also scored her first international goal in almost three years, ending a drought since suffering a torn ACL in 2022.

Sentnor’s teammate, Lily Yohannes, made her debut for the USWNT and provided an assist for Macario’s goal. The young player showed promise on her first outing. The US team now faces a tough tie against Australia on Sunday before facing Japan on Wednesday.
