Amazfit Bip 6 Review: An Affordable Smartwatch with Robust Health Tracking

The Amazfit Bip 6 has officially launched as the latest iteration in the popular Bip smartwatch series. With a price tag of $80, this affordable watch promises to deliver robust health tracking and fitness features without breaking the bank. Our 24-hour review reveals that it’s indeed a steal.

The Bip 6 boasts a 1.97-inch AMOLED screen with a rectangular design reminiscent of Apple Watches. However, the display feels bulky on medium-sized wrists, and there are limited color options available. The watch also features a sleek aluminum frame, decent battery life, and a host of health and fitness tracking capabilities.

Health and wellness tracking is one of the standout features of the Bip 6. The watch boasts improved sensors for measuring heart rate variability and blood oxygen levels, although these metrics have not received FDA approval. One Tap Measuring records four vital signs in one place, while menstrual cycle tracking is also available.

Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate auto workout detection for seven activities, including walking, running, and cycling, as well as a Smart Strength Training feature that tracks reps and rest times. The watch also features an offline navigation option and 5 ATM water resistance, making it suitable for swimming and other aquatic activities.

Smartwatch functions like call and text notifications are standard, along with a flashlight and voice assistant called Zepp Flow. However, the interface can feel clunky and not intuitive, with questionable design choices that lead to a maze-like navigation experience.

The watch runs on Amazfit’s proprietary Zepp OS, which syncs all health and fitness data through the Zepp app. The app offers personalized coaching, detailed health insights, and weekly trend reports, as well as an AI-powered food journal.

While there are some rough edges and UI hiccups to navigate, our initial review of the Amazfit Bip 6 suggests it’s a great value for its price. If you can look past these issues, this affordable smartwatch might just be the perfect match for those seeking robust health tracking and fitness features without breaking the bank.
