Amazon and Apple Consider Increased Ad Spending on Social Media Platform X

Amazon and Apple are reportedly increasing their ad spending on social media platform X, according to a Wall Street Journal report. Amazon plans to spend “considerably more” on the platform after pulling most of its advertising there over a year ago. Apple may also return to the platform after removing all its ad dollars in late 2023.

The decision comes as some advertisers left the former Twitter platform after Elon Musk’s acquisition, citing concerns about content moderation and management changes. However, some companies are reevaluating their decisions amid a changing political and social climate, with Musk emerging as an influential figure.

Beyond partnered with X to promote its brands on the platform in March, citing the power of the X platform and user engagement. The company’s CEO, Linda Yaccarino, said 1,500 advertisers returned to the platform in the previous 12 weeks, with 90% of top advertisers making a comeback after implementing new content moderation tools.

Meanwhile, the parents of Sam Bankman-Fried are reportedly exploring pardons from President Donald Trump, who made significant contributions to the crypto industry during his campaign. The sector eagerly awaits further developments and potential changes under Trump’s presidency.
