AMD and Intel GPUs Reportedly Beat Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti

AMD and Intel are gearing up to challenge Nvidia’s dominance in the budget graphics card market with new GPU releases. According to a leak from Golden Pig Upgrade Pack, Intel’s B570/B580 Battlemage and AMD’s Navi 44 GPUs can outperform Nvidia’s existing RTX 4060 Ti.

The comparison was made using synthetic tests, but it remains unclear which metrics were used. The leaker has a reputable track record, making this information somewhat credible. However, it’s essential to take the leak with a grain of salt and wait for independent reviews before determining its validity.

The upcoming releases are expected to target the mainstream segment, rather than Nvidia’s flagship offerings. AMD is rumored to release an RX 8600 GPU, while Intel will offer the B580 LE for $250, significantly cheaper than the RTX 4060 Ti.

Despite Nvidia’s lack of presence in the sub-$300 segment with its RTX 40 lineup, this leak could make budget GPUs from AMD and Intel more attractive. However, it’s uncertain if Nvidia will respond by releasing low-margin or loss-based competitors to AMD’s Navi 44 GPUs at a similar price point.

In related news, AMD plans to re-merge their client and server graphics IP as the UDNA architecture, succeeding RDNA4. This move aims to improve their performance in areas like AI and ray tracing, while also expanding their presence in console gaming and phone SoC markets.

It’s worth noting that Nvidia is unlikely to lower its prices significantly, given its strong market position. Instead, AMD’s more competitive pricing could attract gamers who prioritize value over proprietary tech.
