AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 GPUs to Arrive in China by February

AMD’s upcoming RDNA 4 Radeon RX 9070 GPUs are expected to arrive in Chinese markets by mid-February, with reference models available first. This marks a delayed availability compared to global markets, where the GPUs will likely launch earlier due to AMD’s traditional approach.

According to Board Channels, citing an internal source, AMD plans to ship reference GPUs to China as early as February, while custom models may not arrive until March. This staggered rollout is believed to be a business strategy by AMD, allowing the company to capitalize on higher sales of reference edition GPUs during the Chinese New Year season.

The availability schedule for the US and other markets remains uncertain, but it’s likely that they will follow a different timeline due to AMD’s distinct approach in China. With CES 2025 kicking off on January 7, AMD is expected to showcase several new releases, including its Radeon RX 9070 GPUs.
