American Airlines Employee Injured in Chicago Airport Incident

A driver of an aircraft tug was critically injured at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago after colliding with a plane taxiing to the gate. The incident occurred on Saturday and involved American Eagle Flight 6181, operated by American Airlines.

The wing of the plane struck the tug vehicle as it crossed the taxiway. The 64-year-old driver was pinned under the vehicle and taken to hospital with head and lower body injuries. He is now stable.

American Airlines confirmed that the driver was one of its employees, saying “Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and team members.” The airline is reviewing the incident.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also stated that no other passengers or crew members were injured in the accident. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
