Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti expressed satisfaction after his team drew 3-3 with Rayo Vallecano on Saturday. The draw comes after a strong 45-minute spell in the first half, where Real Madrid created numerous opportunities but ultimately conceded three goals.
“We played very well for 45 minutes,” Ancelotti said. “We created a lot of opportunities. After the 3-3 we tried until the last minute.” He praised his team’s performance and attitude, saying that they are on the right track.
Ancelotti also touched upon individual performances, praising Vinicius for playing 90 minutes after starting from the bench the previous day, and Rodrygo for a strong showing. The coach also mentioned the potential benefits of winning the Intercontinental Cup this year.
However, Ancelotti acknowledged that his team suffered from some errors, particularly in terms of conceding goals despite being well-organized. He noted that Real Madrid’s lack of height can sometimes lead to difficulties, but praised the team’s overall performance and readiness.
In terms of player availability, Ancelotti clarified that midfielder Tchouameni played as a defender due to an emergency, and is not expected to start in his usual position anytime soon. The coach also chuckled about midfielder Batalla’s frequent injuries, jokingly suggesting he might need more potassium.
