Oscar-nominated actress Andra Day has joined the cast of Bradley Cooper’s next film “Is This Thing On?”, a comedy-drama starring Will Arnett, Sean Hayes, and Laura Dern. Cooper will play a supporting role as the director of the Searchlight movie.
The film follows Alex (Arnett), a man facing middle age and an impending divorce, as he navigates co-parenting, identity, and new love. Meanwhile, his ex-wife Tess (Dern) confronts the sacrifices she made for their family. The project marks Day’s latest acting role after her notable performances in “The United States vs. Billie Holiday” and upcoming projects such as “Exhibiting Forgiveness”.
Cooper previewed the film on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show”, discussing the parallels between filmmaking and sports, where one mistake can affect the entire production. Cooper will be producing the movie under his Lea Pictures banner.
Andra Day is set to appear in Season 2 of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians”. She is represented by CAA and Del Shaw Moonves Tanaka Finkelstein Lezcano Bobb & Dang, alongside the cast and crew including Arnett, Hayes, and Dern.
