Sean Baker’s film “Anora” has solidified its frontrunner status in the Best Picture category after winning the Writers Guild of America (WGA) award for Best Original Screenplay. This achievement is notable, as only one film in history – 2005’s “Brokeback Mountain” – has previously won all four major Oscars (DGA, PGA, WGA, and Oscar). With this win, it’s increasingly difficult to envision “Anora” losing the award for Best Picture.
