Anthony Davis Misses Multiple Weeks with Left Adductor Strain

NBA star Anthony Davis is set to miss multiple weeks due to a left adductor strain, according to ESPN sources. The 10-time NBA All-Star was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks on February 1 in exchange for Luka Doncic. This latest injury setback comes after Davis sat out five previous games with an abdominal strain. In his first game for the Mavericks, Davis scored 26 points and grabbed 16 rebounds before suffering the injury. Davis has a history of injuries, with only two seasons playing more than 60 games in the last six years. He is making $43 million this season and will earn nearly $58 million next year. The injury adds to the woes of the Mavericks, who also have Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) and Joel Embiid potentially needing surgery after the season.
