Anti-Elon Musk Sticker Seller Makes Six Figures

A small online shop in Hawaii has become a unlikely source of income for Matthew Hiller, owner of MadPufferStickers. The business initially started as a side-hustle selling fish stickers, but Hiller created anti-Elon Musk Tesla stickers after growing disillusioned with the CEO’s actions.

Hiller’s decision to sell the stickers was motivated by his disapproval of Musk’s behavior on X and his involvement in the Trump administration. Sales skyrocketed when Musk became a fixture in President Trump’s presidential campaign, with over $100,000 earned in just 30 days.

Since then, MadPufferStickers has sold 70,000 stickers, magnets, and clings across various platforms. Hiller credits spikes in sales to news coverage of Musk, particularly when he appeared at Trump rallies or made controversial gestures.

The stickers have become a way for customers to express their disapproval of Musk and Tesla, with some even using them as a form of self-protection after reports of attacks against Tesla vehicles and dealerships. Sales are not limited to the US, with orders coming from countries such as Puerto Rico.

While Hiller plans to continue selling stickers part-time, he acknowledges that it’s not a reliable business plan, relying on Musk’s antics for sales.
