Respawn Entertainment has released a Dev Diary to celebrate the 6th anniversary of Apex Legends, revealing major updates for the rest of the year and some significant changes coming to the game. One of the key updates is Apex Legends: Takeover, which includes features like Creator Commissioners, allowing popular creators to introduce unique challenges, curated Legendary weapon skins, and Apex Pack rewards.
Competitive players can expect meta changes with new perks in Assault Legends, including Extra Firepower, Armed and Dangerous, and improved ammo, grenade slots, and weapon handling. For the first time in Apex Legends history, every single weapon has received a buff this season, making some favorite weapons more powerful than ever.
To commemorate six years of Apex Legends, an anniversary event is set to take place, offering 36 Anniversary Event items, including Heirloom Shards and the exclusive Mythic R-301. This Wraith-inspired weapon features three unlockable tiers with a void-inspired look and new animations.
A new feature, Arsenals, will also be introduced, providing a level of planning for players to access better loot without relying on RNG. The Apex Legends: Takeover trailer is set to release tomorrow, followed by the update launching on February 11 for various platforms.
