Apple has canceled its ambitious project to develop augmented reality glasses that pair with its devices. The cancelled product, codenamed “Vision Pro”, would have featured built-in displays and required a connection to a Mac. Industry insiders believe it could have rivaled Meta’s future AR glasses in the market. However, despite significant investment, Apple was unable to find a path forward for the project, which is now being shut down.
