Apple Celebrates 10 Years of Apple Watch with Global ‘Close Your Rings’ Day

To mark its 10-year anniversary, Apple is launching “Global Close Your Rings Day” – an initiative encouraging users to close their Activity rings on April 24. By doing so, participants can win a limited-edition award, animated stickers, and a special pin.

The three Activity rings – Move, Exercise, and Stand – track progress in active calories burned, brisk activity, and standing time per hour. Users can customize these goals according to their lifestyle. Closing all three rings on April 24 will earn the aforementioned prize.

Global Close Your Rings Day aims to promote physical activity and improve overall health. Apple’s research, the Apple Heart and Movement Study, supports this goal. Data from over 140,000 participants shows that users who close their Activity rings frequently experience better sleep quality (48% less likely), reduced resting heart rates (73%), and lower stress levels (57%).

This initiative is part of collaboration with the American Heart Association and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Visit an Apple store worldwide to obtain a limited-edition pin, available while supplies last.
