Apple Considers Returning to X Ads Amid Amazon’s Investment

Apple may resume advertising on Elon Musk’s X platform after pausing it over a year ago due to brand safety concerns. According to the Wall Street Journal, Amazon is increasing its ad spending on X and has sparked discussions about Apple reconsidering its pause.

Amazon pulled back from X ads last year amid concerns over hate speech but now appears to be ramping up its advertising budget. This shift could prompt Apple to reevaluate its own ad strategy.

In 2023, Apple removed all its ad dollars from X due to the platform’s content issues. However, with Musk at the helm, some companies are revisiting their ad spend on X, albeit with reduced budgets.

Apple CEO Tim Cook previously expressed reservations about Twitter/X before pausing ads. He cited both the platform’s benefits and drawbacks. Now, as Amazon invests more in X, Apple may reassess its stance on advertising on the platform.
