Apple Expands Retail Presence in Saudi Arabia with Online and Physical Stores

Apple is set to expand its retail presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, opening its online store in summer 2025 and physical stores in 2026. The move marks a significant investment by the company, which has spent over $10 billion on expansion efforts in the region over the past five years.

Following the launch of its developer academy in 2021, Apple plans to continue investing in Saudi Arabia with exceptional service and support for customers in Arabic. The company’s CEO, Tim Cook, said that the move will allow customers to “explore their passions, build their businesses, and take their ideas to the next level.”

Apple is currently planning a store in Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which is expected to open later. This expansion comes as Apple reports significant growth in App Store earnings for developers in Saudi Arabia, with revenue increasing by over 1750% since 2019.

The company will also be introducing support for express transit in the upcoming Riyadh metro, joining a list of over 250 cities worldwide. With this move, Apple aims to deepen its connections with customers and bring the best of Apple to help them achieve their goals.
