Apple’s AI-powered features, including Genmoji, are not currently available on Meta’s popular iOS apps such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, or Threads. According to reports, users who relied on these features may no longer be able to use them due to a technical issue.
Meta’s iOS apps have removed the writing tools that previously included text generation and proofreading, along with keyboard stickers like Genmoji. It is unclear why Meta has opted out of using Apple Intelligence in its apps or if it plans to encourage users to use its own AI-powered tools instead.
The reason for this removal remains unknown, but developers can still choose not to use Apple’s AI features in their iOS apps. An investigation by Engadget has confirmed that Apple Intelligence is currently not functioning within Meta’s apps.
