Apple has announced a new feature that will be available on iPhones starting with iOS 26. The new feature allows users to estimate how long it will take for their iPhone’s battery to get fully charged, as well as display how much time it could take for the phone’s battery charge to reach 80%. This information is displayed on the lock screen and in the Settings app’s Battery section.
This feature was previously available on Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets. On these devices, users can view their estimated battery charging time on the lock screen and in the Settings app’s Battery section. Additionally, Samsung offers features such as Power Saving mode and multiple battery health protection options.
With iOS 26, iPhones will also gain a new Adaptive Power mode toggle. This feature analyzes the user’s current smartphone usage and automatically makes performance adjustments to reduce power consumption. This helps extend the iPhone’s battery life when used extensively.
It is unclear whether all compatible iPhone models will have access to these features. However, with iOS 26, Apple has finally brought this charging feature that many fans of Samsung Galaxy phones have been enjoying for years.
