Apple has released its first developer beta for iOS 18.4, which includes a new “Priority Notifications” feature powered by Apple Intelligence. This feature aims to help users manage their notifications more effectively by prioritizing important alerts and minimizing distractions from less critical ones.
The new priority notifications are displayed in a separate section on the Lock Screen, allowing users to focus on essential information first. However, users can still view all notifications by swiping up.
In iOS 18.4, Apple Intelligence will analyze which notifications should be shown in this priority section, but users have control over the feature’s settings. To enable Priority Notifications, go to Settings > Notifications > Prioritize Notifications and toggle it on.
Additionally, Apple announced plans for visionOS 2.4, a software update that includes Apple Intelligence on the Vision Pro device. A public version is expected in April. The company also revealed Apple News+ Food, an upcoming feature allowing users to search and save recipes from partner publishing companies.
