Apple has released a new USB-C to 3.5mm audio cable designed specifically for the AirPods Max and Beats Studio Pro headphones. The bidirectional cable allows for easy connectivity with both 3.5mm audio-out and audio-in ports, enabling optimal audio experiences when gaming or creating content.
The cable is available now for $39.00 and can be used to connect your AirPods Max or Beats Studio Pro headphones to a Mac, in-flight entertainment system, or other device. Additionally, it allows you to connect your iPhone or iPad to speakers with 3.5mm audio ports.
This move comes as Apple discontinues its previous Lightning to 3.5mm audio cable. The new USB-C to 3.5mm audio cable is designed to provide ultra-low latency on par with the device’s built-in speakers, making it ideal for gaming and content creation.
The release of this cable coincides with rumors about the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro models, which are expected to launch in September. Apple has also made a new perk available to iCloud+ subscribers, allowing them to create invitations in the Apple Invites app.
