Apple iOS 18.5 to Bring AI to China, Pride Wallpapers, Despite Limited Features

Apple’s latest iOS update, 18.5, has been in beta testing for nearly a month and is expected to launch in May. However, its new features are limited to Apple Mail enhancements. But sources suggest that two additional features may be included: Apple Intelligence support in China and Pride wallpapers.

The inclusion of Apple Intelligence in China could be a significant factor in boosting iPhone sales in the region. Currently, China is the only market where AI-powered services are not available. If launched as early as May, it would mark an important milestone for Apple’s struggling iPhone sales.

Meanwhile, new Pride wallpapers are expected to arrive with iOS 18.5, following the company’s tradition of refreshing its Pride-themed content around May each year. Aaron Perris discovered evidence of the new wallpapers in the update’s code.

Despite these potential additions, iOS 18.5 will still be considered one of the smallest updates this year. Apple is focusing on preparing for the upcoming WWDC event, where it will unveil iOS 19 and other major features. With iOS 19 around the corner, fans can expect new iPhone features to arrive in the coming months.

For now, users are eagerly awaiting any additional new features that might be included in iOS 18.5. Have you noticed anything unusual about this update? Share your thoughts in the comments.
