Apple’s upcoming slim phone, the iPhone 17 Air, is slowly gaining focus. A new leak has revealed key specifications, including its weight and battery capacity. According to yeux1122, a leaker with a track record of supply chain insights, the iPhone 17 Air will have a thickness of 5.5mm and weigh around 145g.
This measurement confirms that the phone will be thinner than Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge, which has a thickness of 5.8mm. The weight is impressive, similar to the iPhone 13 mini, making it stand out with its single camera.
The battery size is also noteworthy, with an 2800mAh capacity – a size Apple used before in the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. While this may not seem surprising, recent reports suggest that iOS 19’s optimization could make this size work harder than ever, potentially offering a 20% increase in battery life over standard iPhones.
However, there is another possibility: installing a high-density battery in the same size as the current one, which could lead to an even closer battery life to the iPhone 16.
