Apple iPhone 17 Air Revealed with New Features and Price

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air model is expected to start at $899 in the US, making it comparable to the iPhone 16 Plus. The device will allegedly feature a thin and lightweight design, but its battery life will be on par with current iPhones, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

Gurman revealed that Apple has optimized the iPhone 17 Air’s hardware and software for better power efficiency, thanks to features like a higher-density battery, the C1 modem, and no Ultra Wide camera. These changes should result in longer battery life than expected.

The device will come with the Camera Control button from all iPhone 16 models, which may appeal to some users but could be seen as a nuisance by others. The iPhone 17 Air is also expected to have thinner bezels around the screen, similar to those on the iPhone 16 Pro models.

Other rumored specifications include a 6.6-inch display with 120Hz ProMotion support, Dynamic Island, and a standard A19 chip instead of an A19 Pro chip. Unfortunately, there’s no physical SIM card slot worldwide.

The iPhone 17 Air is expected to launch in September this year, providing more details on the upcoming device as we get closer to its release.
