Apple has confirmed its plans for the upcoming iPhone 17 series, with reports suggesting that the launch event is set to take place on September 8. According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, this marks a consistent pattern of Apple unveiling new iPhones the week after Labor Day.
The company typically favors Tuesdays for its keynote events, but exceptions have been made in recent years. Gurman suggests that Monday, September 8, or Tuesday, September 9, are potential dates for the launch event. However, it is likely that the event will take place on either Wednesday, September 10, or Thursday, September 11.
Pre-orders are expected to open on Friday, September 12, with customers able to log in and purchase their new iPhone at 1 p.m. local time. It’s worth noting that some customers may be able to jump the line by completing the pre-order process on the evening of September 11.
Gurman’s report provides further insight into Apple’s plans for the upcoming iPhone 17 series, which is expected to launch alongside new Apple Watch releases. The release date for the iPhone 17 series remains uncertain, but it’s likely that the event will take place in the first half of September.
