Apple is set to unveil its new iPhone 17 series in less than four weeks, with a keynote event scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 9. The company has also confirmed that it will release iOS 26 at the same time, which is expected to be available on general release from Monday, Sept. 15 or Tuesday, Sept. 16.
The release schedule suggests that Apple will follow a similar pattern as last year, with pre-orders starting on Friday, Sept. 12 and reviews appearing around Monday, Sept. 15 or Wednesday, Sept. 17. The onsale date is predicted to be Friday, Sept. 19, at 7 a.m.
Mark Gurman’s latest Bloomberg Power On newsletter has shed light on the release date of iOS 26, with the software described as “pretty smooth” and having a sixth developer beta that is “ridiculously snappy”. This suggests that Apple is close to finalizing the public version of the software.
