Apple has announced a new $19.99 monthly subscription plan called AppleCare One, which provides coverage for up to three products and includes benefits such as unlimited repairs, 24/7 support, and battery coverage. Previously, customers had to enroll their devices into separate plans if they wanted additional protection beyond the standard warranty.
The new plan adds theft and loss protection to previously covered products like iPhone and iPad, now also covering Apple Watch. For the first time, customers can add AppleCare coverage to existing devices up to four years old that are in good condition. This means customers can save money by bundling multiple products under a single plan.
Only eligible devices in the customer’s Apple Account can be covered under AppleCare One. The service is available starting Thursday in the US and can be signed up for directly on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, or at an Apple Store.
