Apple Maps Gains AI-Powered Natural Language Search in iOS 26 Beta

Apple Maps has made a significant upgrade with the arrival of iOS 26 beta, bringing AI-powered natural language search to the app. This feature, known as “Search the Way You Talk,” allows users to conduct searches using everyday language.

For example, when searching for “Coffee shops near Disney World that have Wi-Fi,” Apple Maps provided an accurate list of results, parsing each detail and delivering relevant options. This improvement is substantial compared to previous search functionality, making it a welcome addition to the app.

Similar support for Apple Intelligence-powered search has been introduced in other apps, such as Photos, Music, TV, and the App Store. The AI upgrade has greatly enhanced user experience in these applications, and its presence in Maps may bring similar benefits.

Early beta testers can already test this feature, which is available now in iOS 26 beta. As with any new technology, it’s unclear whether the feature was added server-side or in a recent beta update. However, one thing is certain – Apple Maps is getting better, and users are eager to share their experiences with natural language search.
