Rumored Apple Messages app redesign has failed to impress fans expecting a “dramatic software overhaul” in iOS 19. A recent leak revealed the updated design, which largely resembles the current app’s look and feel. The major differences include rounded glass-like edges on the keyboard, and 3D effects surrounding icons like the back arrow and FaceTime button.
Contrary to expectations, Apple has not made significant changes to other areas of the app. However, some features are reportedly being revamped, including the Camera app, which may adopt a new interface similar to Apple’s Vision Pro design.
Notable designer Jon Prosser shared mockups of iOS 19 redesigns, but tech expert Mark Gurman cautioned that these leaks might not accurately represent the final product. WWDC on June 9 will likely provide the first official glimpse into Apple’s upcoming software changes.
