Apple Prepares for M4 MacBook Air Launch in March

Apple’s marketing, sales, and retail teams are gearing up for the launch of new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models featuring the M4 chip in March, according to Bloomberg. The company has started drawing down inventory at stores, indicating that a launch is imminent.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently stated that Apple will begin selling the new MacBook Air models “at the latest” by March, suggesting he is confident about the release timing. However, the exact date remains unclear.

Apple inadvertently confirmed the upcoming M4 MacBook Air machines in December when it released macOS Sequoia 15.2 software update with files for unreleased “Mac16,12” and “Mac16,13” machines.

The new MacBook Air models are expected to feature Apple’s latest M4 chip, which is also used in other devices such as the iPhone. The release of these new laptops comes after Apple’s recent announcement of the iPhone 16e, which marks a shift towards more affordable options for customers.
