Apple Releases iOS 26 Beta 4 with AI Notification Summaries and Liquid Glass Updates

Apple has released the fourth developer beta of its upcoming iOS 26 update, bringing several key changes to its user interface and notification features. The update includes a new “Welcome” splash screen, introductory screens for various features like Siri and Camera app, and continues to refine its user interface redesign known as Liquid Glass.

The latest beta also brings back AI-powered notification summaries, which were previously paused due to complaints from the BBC over misrepresented headlines. The feature now comes with a warning message advising users to verify information. Additionally, testers have spotted updates in apps like the App Store, Photos, and Weather, including a new dynamic tint in the Notification Center.

Other features include a new dynamic wallpaper that changes colors and new CarPlay wallpapers. Release notes for the beta were not published at the time of publication, suggesting there may be additional minor bug fixes and performance improvements.

The release comes ahead of the public beta launch later this week, providing developers with an opportunity to test their apps on Apple’s new software before its wider global launch.
