Apple Releases New Invites App for iPhone Parties and Events

Apple has confirmed its new Invites app, allowing users to invite people to parties and other events with ease. The app is now available on the App Store for free download, exclusively for iCloud+ subscribers.

The new app brings together people for life’s special moments and offers a range of features, including image selection from photo libraries or curated backgrounds, and integration with Apple Maps and Weather to provide guests with directions and forecasts.

For those who don’t have an iCloud+ subscription, they can still RSVP without needing an Apple device. Users can also create original images using Image Playground on compatible iPhones.

The app’s release coincides with iOS 18.3, which recently rolled out, suggesting that it may be part of a broader effort to revamp the calendar app. The new Invites app integrates with iCloud and appears to have a web version on iCloud.com.

With its user-friendly interface and features like GroupKit, the app is likely to replace the current invitation process in the Calendar app. As Apple has not previously hinted at working on this update, it remains uncertain whether the app will be released publicly or remain exclusive to employee testing.
