Apple has released the release candidate (RC) versions of several software updates, bringing us closer to their public launch in early April. These updates include iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, macOS Sequoia 15.4, visionOS 2.4, watchOS 11.4, tvOS 18.4, and HomePod 18.4.
The RC versions are expected to be the final versions that ship to the public, although second RCs are not uncommon. The updates focus on bug fixes and stability, with no new features or visible changes. This is to ensure a smooth launch without introducing new bugs.
Users who have opted in to receive developer beta updates will see the new RC betas appear in their Software Update screen. For those not running the beta, these updates should be available for all users within the next week or two.
The iPhone and Mac updates are among the most significant, while visionOS 2.4 has received an unusually large number of improvements, including Apple Intelligence, a new Spatial Gallery app, and Guest Mode enhancements.
