Apple has released several software updates to fix security vulnerabilities and improve overall stability in its operating systems. The updates include iOS 18.6, iPadOS 18.6, macOS Sequoia 15.6, watchOS 11.6, tvOS 18.6, and visionOS 2.6, addressing issues with sharing movies from the Photos app, networking, and filesystem permissions.
The patches resolve over two dozen vulnerabilities in iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, as well as many of the same flaws in other OS updates. Although none of the vulnerabilities are currently being actively exploited, Apple advises users to update their devices as soon as possible to patch any potential security risks.
In addition to security fixes, the EU’s Digital Markets Act requirements have been implemented in iOS and iPadOS updates, allowing users in the region to install alternate app stores and download apps directly from websites. This feature is also available for older operating systems that will be superseded by new releases later this fall.
Newer versions of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, and other updates were recently made available as public betas, setting the stage for their eventual release in the coming months.
