Apple recently released and then pulled a software tool that contained identifiers for several unreleased devices and chips, according to MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris. The leak revealed details about new products, including:
* A new HomePod mini with an S9 chip or newer
* A new Apple TV with an A17 Pro chip
* A new Studio Display with an A19 Pro chip
* A new iPad mini with an A19 Pro chip
* A low-cost iPad with an A18 chip
* A new Vision Pro with either an M4 or M5 chip
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman responded to the leaks in his Power On newsletter, confirming some of the reported findings and offering insights into Apple’s plans. He suggests that Apple is testing both M4 and M5 chip versions for the Vision Pro, possibly due to considerations from the company.
As a result, it appears that the Vision Pro may receive an M4 chip or newer, with a minor upgrade in either case. The current Vision Pro features an M2 chip.
