Apple plans to release at least one new iPad Pro model this year, according to a report from Korean website The Elec. The 11-inch and 13-inch models are expected to receive “minor” updates, with the device looking similar to its current counterparts.
The next-generation M5 chip may be ready for the next iPad Pro by late 2025 or early 2026, but this is still uncertain. Apple also plans to release new iPad Air and entry-level iPad 11 models earlier in the year, with these devices expected to launch by March or April.
It’s unclear if the iPad mini will be updated this year, as it typically only receives updates every several years. However, there are rumors of a new iPhone SE launching this year, which has been confirmed by a known leaker.
In other news, iOS 19 is still six months away from being announced, but a leak has revealed what the new Camera app will look like, featuring translucent menus for camera controls. Apple has also removed TikTok from its App Store in the US due to a law requiring Chinese company ByteDance to divest its ownership of the platform.
The rumored iPhone 17 Air model has been shared an image of a component, showing a pill-shaped raised camera bar and a circular cutout for a single rear camera. Meanwhile, iOS 19 will not drop support for any iPhone models, with compatibility expected for devices that can run iOS 18.
