Apple has released two software updates to iOS 18.6, and with the first update shipping without issue, the company has stopped signing the older version due to security issues being disclosed in previous versions. The new updates, including iOS 18.6.1 and 18.6.2, address performance and security concerns.
The latest iOS update, released on July 29, included bug fixes, security improvements, and a fix for the Photos app’s Memories feature. Additionally, it addressed changes to third-party app marketplaces in the EU.
A full list of security improvements made in iOS 18.6 has been detailed by Apple. The company is expected to release iOS 26 later this month after beta testing versions with developers and public beta testers since June.
Note: Apple has released iOS updates without incident, but users are advised to stay updated to ensure their devices remain secure.
