Apple is planning to release an entry-level iPad 11 in spring 2024 alongside a new iPhone SE 4 and iPad Air. The device will come pre-installed with iPadOS 18.3, set to be released in late January or early February.
According to a source with a proven track record for Apple software updates, the new iPad will not include Apple’s upcoming custom 5G modem, which is expected to debut in the iPhone SE and iPhone Air in 2025. However, it may support Apple Intelligence, featuring a newer A-series chip and at least 8GB of RAM.
Apple has seeded the first betas of iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3, but details on what’s included are scarce. The focus is on rolling out Apple Intelligence features, which will enhance Siri capabilities with personal context, on-screen awareness, and app interaction.
