Apple’s upcoming iPhone update is expected to be its biggest release yet, featuring a significant amount of Apple Intelligence not previously available outside of iOS 18.1 in most countries. However, the exact release date is not set until later.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently predicted that iOS 18.2 will be released “in the week of Dec. 2,” but this seems unlikely given the timing and the fact that Apple typically avoids releasing updates around major holidays like Thanksgiving.
Instead, analysts suggest that iOS 18.2 will likely be released in one of two weeks: December 9-16. This release is significant because it will expand Apple Intelligence to five new countries, including the UK, Australia, South Africa, Canada, and New Zealand, which will now have access to features previously only available to US users.
While no official date has been confirmed, many experts agree that iOS 18.2 will be released in late December, potentially on Tuesday, December 10. Mark your calendars for then or check back for updates as more information becomes available.
