Apple has launched its Apple TV Plus streaming service on Android devices, allowing users to watch original series like Severance and Slow Horses on their mobile phones or tablets. The app supports Android 10 and later versions.
Users can download the Apple TV app from the Google Play store and subscribe to Apple TV Plus for $10 a month or MLS Season Pass for $15 per month. A seven-day free trial is available for new users. Existing Apple TV Plus subscribers can easily sign in on their Android device, allowing them to pick up where they left off.
The app’s interface is similar to the one used on Apple ecosystem devices and includes features like a Continue Watching row, watch lists, and content downloads. However, some features like casting are not available yet.
Upon opening Apple TV Plus, users will see recommendation rows with highlights from Apple’s original shows, as well as a dedicated section for MLS subscribers with their favorite teams and upcoming games. The app is now available globally on Android devices, following its previous availability on Apple ecosystem devices, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Google TV, PCs, smart TVs, and select gaming consoles.
