Apple TV Rebrands as Simply ‘Apple TV’

Apple has rebranded its six-year-old streaming service, previously known as Apple TV+, to simply “Apple TV”. The company made the change in a press release announcing the debut of its latest original film, “F1: The Movie”, and stated that the platform is now “simply Apple TV, with a vibrant new identity.” This move comes after Apple’s competitors, such as HBO Max and Paramount+, have undergone name changes. Despite this, the new branding may cause confusion among users who are familiar with Apple’s connected smart TV device product and app.

The rebranded service will continue to offer a range of original films, documentaries, and series, including Emmy-winning shows like “Ted Lasso” and Oscar-winning “Coda”. The platform has earned numerous awards and nominations since its launch in 2019.
