Apple has released the Release Candidate (RC) version of its upcoming iOS 18.2 operating system update, focusing on improving stability and introducing new Apple Intelligence features.
Key Apple Intelligence features include Image Playground, which allows users to create playful images in seconds; Genmoji, for custom emoji creation; and Image Wand, which transforms rough sketches into delightful images. Additionally, ChatGPT integration is available, allowing users to access Writing Tools and other features.
Other notable updates include an all-new Mail app with on-device categorization and a new digest view; the ability to change default apps like Messages and Phone; and a new Volume Limit control in the Settings app.
Find My has also received an update, allowing users to share item locations with trusted individuals. The Photos app now features reduced video zooming, while users can limit their iPhone’s speaker volume through the Volume Limit setting.
These updates demonstrate Apple’s ongoing efforts to enhance user experience and introduce innovative features, preparing for the official iOS 18.2 release in the near future.
