Apple Unveils iOS 26 with Major Design Changes and New Battery Features

Apple recently released its operating systems for 2026, including a major redesign called iOS 26. The name change signals significant updates within the OS. For iPhone users, iOS 26 brings noticeable changes, particularly in user interface.

Liquid Glass is Apple’s latest UI design element that significantly enhances the iPhone experience. This design focuses on transparence and light interaction across various digital surfaces. iOS 26 also introduces two key battery features: Time to Charge and Adaptive Power Mode.

The first feature tells users how long it takes for their batteries to fully charge, a requested addition by many users. However, some issues have been observed in iOS 26 beta 1 on certain devices, like the iPad mini 7.

In addition to Battery Menu, which includes features such as per-app energy usage and 7-day history of battery usage, iOS 26 also incorporates Adaptive Power Mode. The latter allows iPhones to conserve energy automatically by making small performance adjustments, including lower display brightness or slower activity processing, when battery usage exceeds usual levels.
