In-person event for press, possibly following multi-day launches.
Apple is planning an unusual approach to its March product rollouts. Instead of a live-streamed event or keynote video, the company has invited press to a “special Apple Experience” happening simultaneously in New York, London, and Shanghai. This marks a change from previous events, which have been either live-streamed or launched via press releases.
The invites were not made under non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), so they quickly spread online. According to well-informed sources like Mark Gurman, Apple plans to roll out new products daily in the lead-up to March 4. This means press will receive hardware launches via press releases on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before getting access to all new products in person.
New products expected to launch include:
* iPhone 17e with A19 chip, Center Stage front camera, and MagSafe
* Base iPad with A18 chip and Apple Intelligence support
* M4 iPad Air with M4 chip
* MacBook with fun colors, low cost, and A18 Pro chip
* M5 MacBook Air with new M5 chip and likely refreshed color options
* MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and Max: 14-inch and 16-inch models with high-end M5 chips
* M5 Mac Studio with M5 Max option and M5 Ultra chip
* Apple Studio Display 2 with 120Hz ProMotion support and HDR
Wildcard products expected, but not confirmed for release in early March due to Siri’s delayed upgrades:
* Apple TV 4K with A17 Pro and possible built-in camera
* HomePod Touch with 7-inch touch screen and AI Siri focus
* HomePod mini 2 with new chip and audio improvements
