Apple Unveils Project Mulberry to Revolutionize Health App

Apple is working on a significant upgrade to its health features for users, with CEO Tim Cook repeatedly emphasizing that health will be the company’s biggest legacy. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the initiative is called Project Mulberry, which involves a revamped Health app and a health coach powered by a new AI agent.

The project aims to provide personalized recommendations to improve health based on user data collected from devices such as iPhones, Apple Watches, earbuds, and third-party products. The AI coach will use this data to offer tailored advice, potentially incorporating Apple Intelligence and expert input from physicians and specialists in various fields.

The Health app is expected to be revamped with features such as food tracking, nutrition guidance, and workout analysis using the camera. Some experts suggest that there may be a charge for this service, dubbed Health+. While details are still scarce, Apple’s health group has made Project Mulberry a top priority, indicating that it may be announced soon.

Apple’s WWDC in June is expected to reveal more about the iOS 19 update, which is scheduled for spring or summer next year. The project’s release timing aligns with this update, suggesting that users can expect significant changes to Apple’s health offerings in the near future.
