Apple Unveils watchOS 26 with Redesigned Interface and New Features

At WWDC 25, Apple unveiled its upcoming software overhaul for the Apple Watch, watchOS 26. The new operating system features a redesigned interface based on Liquid Glass, allowing for a unified look and feel across all devices.

Key updates include a wrist-flick gesture to dismiss notifications, mute calls, and silence alarms. A new “Workout Buddy” feature, powered by Apple Intelligence, provides personalized motivation and real-time analysis of workout data.

The Workout app has also been revamped, offering easier access to essential features. Additionally, the Notes app is coming to watchOS 26, allowing for quick note-taking and viewing existing notes.

Other notable features include improved ambient noise detection, which adjusts call and notification volume, and Live Translation in Messages. With these updates, Apple Watch users can expect enhanced performance and a more seamless user experience.
