Reports from Chinese website IT Home claim that the second-generation Apple Vision Pro may now be in mass production ahead of its rumored launch later this year. According to the website, key components such as panels, housings, and circuitry have moved into mass production, with some suppliers “rushing” to fulfill orders.
This news comes after a recent report from The Information stated that Apple had reduced production of the current Vision Pro headset ahead of plans to stop making it entirely by the end of 2024. However, despite stalled work on an enhanced version, there are indications that Apple will release a second-generation model with limited changes to its physical design.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman have confirmed that the updated model is in active development, adding the M5 chip but reusing many components from the first-generation Vision Pro. The new device is expected to launch between fall 2025 and spring 2026, although the report’s accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
It remains unclear whether the second-generation Vision Pro will live up to expectations, but with mass production underway, it seems that Apple is moving forward with its plans for the device.
