Apple Watch Ultra 3 Display Upgrade Leaked in iOS 26 Beta 5

A new leak from the latest iOS 26 beta 5 update suggests that the upcoming Apple Watch Ultra 3 smartwatch will feature a higher display resolution of 422×514 pixels. This is an increase over the current Apple Watch Ultra 2’s display resolution of 410×502 pixels.

According to analyst Aaron Perris, the upgrade in display resolution could indicate that Apple plans to reduce the display bezels and use the same chassis as its previous models, rather than opting for a larger display. This would follow Apple’s pattern of reducing display bezels on its regular Apple Watch models over the years.

The iOS 26 beta 5 update also includes other tweaks and additions, such as an option to restore the old way of switching between photo and video modes in the Camera app, restored Select button in the Mail app, new icons and animations, and fresh splash screens for various apps. However, it does not adjust the look and feel of the Liquid Glass redesign, suggesting that Apple may have settled on this design.

The full version of iOS 26 is expected to launch in September, around the same time as the iPhone 17 range’s release. With the Apple Watch Ultra 3 expected to be one of the new products, we can expect more information about its display resolution and features soon.
