Apple Watch Ultra 3 Fixing Last Year’s Discrepancy

Apple is set to release its latest smartwatch, the Apple Watch Ultra 3, which promises to address the issues that arose last year when the Apple Watch Series 10 was launched. The new model will feature a larger display than the current Ultra 2, as well as upgrades in chip technology and display capabilities.

The Apple Watch Series 10 surpassed the Ultra line in several areas, including its display size, newer system-on-a-chip (SiP), and refresh rate. The latest Ultra model lacked these features, leading to concerns that the ‘Ultra’ name was no longer accurate.

However, Apple has since confirmed plans for the new Ultra 3, which will boast a larger screen resolution of 422×514 pixels on its largest 46mm model. This increases display size compared to the current Ultra 2, which has a resolution of 410×502 pixels.

Other notable upgrades include the integration of LTPO3 technology for faster always-on refreshes and wide-angle OLED displays for improved side viewing. The new chip is expected to be similar to the S11 SiP found in Apple Watch Series 11.

The new Apple Watch Ultra 3 will also offer several exclusive features, including satellite messaging support for emergencies, 5G cellular connectivity, high blood pressure detection, and more. If rumors are true, these upgrades should finally give the Ultra line parity with its Series counterpart.

With these improvements, the ‘Ultra’ name is once again expected to accurately reflect the capabilities of this premium smartwatch.
