Apple has announced the dates for its WWDC 2025 event, where it will unveil iOS 19 and several other updates. According to leaks from Jon Prosser, a well-known tech leaker, iOS 19 will feature a visual overhaul of the interface, similar to visionOS.
However, not all changes expected are confirmed. Prosser claims that Apple will retain its squared-off app icons, contradicting earlier rumors about circular layout. Instead, transparent interface elements will bleed hazy background colors onto popups and other aspects.
The Messages app is also expected to feature translucent effects on the interface. However, Mark Gurman believes that these changes are just a preview of what’s to come at WWDC, where Apple will showcase its major upgrade to iOS 19.
iOS 19 is reportedly a bigger update than initially speculated, but it seems Apple may be compensating users for its lack of Apple Intelligence features by introducing other visual changes.
