Apple has introduced its new budget laptop, the MacBook Neo. The laptop comes with a colorful design featuring “Citrus” and “Blush” colors that bleed onto the keyboard, giving it a playful touch. According to Colleen Novielli, Director of Mac Product Marketing at Apple, the name “Neo” was chosen to project youth and energy. However, the actual manufacturing process remains under wraps.
The laptop aims to provide an affordable option with decent features, such as 8GB of RAM, making it a good choice for those on a budget. Novielli highlighted that Apple’s focus is on delivering quality products at the right time, despite the global supply chain challenges.
When choosing between the 256GB and 512GB storage options, Novielli suggested considering current storage needs. It’s essential to gauge how much space you need based on your files, photos, and other stored content.
The MacBook Neo is an entirely new product that was reimagined from scratch to meet the $599 price point. Apple has made compromises, such as using a standard sleep button instead of Touch ID, but still managed to deliver a product that feels like a genuine MacBook experience.
